Construction
Instructions

If cut carefully, all legs can be cut from a
single piece of wood 5/16 wide, ~6 2/3 long and 7/48 (1/8)
thick.
Just simply lay out the leg patterns on a 7/48 (1/8) thick
piece of wood and cut as you like |

| The seat rails can be made from a
single piece of wood 1/6 wide, ~4 2/3 inch long and 7/96
(1/16) thick, Just lay out the side rail pattern on a 7/96
(1/16) thick piece of wood and cut as you like. |

The side, back,
top and bottom rails can be made from a single pieces of wood
1/4 wide, ~4 2/3 long and 7/96 (1/6) thick. Just layout the
pattern on the wood and cut as you like. |

| The two narrower back rails are made from a
single piece of wood 3/16 wide, ~ 2 1/4 long and 1/16 thick.
Layout the pattern on the wood and cut as you like. |

| The middle back rail is made from a single
piece of wood 25/96 (1/4) wide, ~1 1/48 long and 1/16 thick. |

The seat is made from a single piece of wood 1
1/16 by 1 1/24
The notches are cut to fit around the legs edges. The notches
are ~1/12square - cut carefully to insure the notches arent
two wide and fit tight. |

| The seat cover can be made from many different
materials. It measures .863 by .844 |
Important thing to note: The grain of the wood should
always run the longest length of the piece.

Mortise & Tenon
Instructions
Making the mortises and tenons are a lot easier than you
might think, so I suggest that you give them a try. If you do
find them more work than you want to take, removing them and
using simple butt glue joints will work and give you the same
look as the chairs that are made with the mortises and tenons.

The easiest way to make the tenons is to use a strip cutter,
with a little careful adjustments and a steady hand you can
easily set both the depth and width of the cut. The first step
is to set the width of the cut on the strip cutter, after this
is to determine just how deep you want to cut each side of the
board. Ideally you cut 1/4 the depth of both sides of the board
and remove the remaining wood. You do the same thing on either
edge of the tenon leaving only the tenon remaining. |
