Sanding Sticks

These handy little tools are indispensable for the miniaturists' tool box.  They are some of the best tools I've found.

They have a pointed end with and angled and flat surface, perfect for those hard to reach areas.

A rounded end that is perfect for almost any situation where curves are involved.

They are color coded so you know which grit paper is on which sanding stick.

The sand paper is a cloth backed belt that comes in 80 to 600 grit.  They are put on by depressing the spring loaded tool and sliding into place.  As you sand you can rotate the belt quickly to give you fresh paper to sand with.

I suggest that you label each stick with the size grit paper it uses - this will help you learn what color goes with what grit at a glance.  The best price I've found for these is at WoodCraft.com the kits are a bargain.
